Evidence of Faithfulness — Micah 6:1-5
In a striking picture of a courtroom scene, the LORD inspires MIcah to write these words describing His lawsuit against Israel for breach of contract. In calling the hills to serve as witnesses, the LORD calls upon a generational testimony to expose the deeds of a faithless people.
Just like He could today, the LORD accuses the people of playing the victim. Instead of being able to claim that the LORD made them weary or treated them unfairly, the evidence showed the faithfulness of the LORD to them despite their unworthiness. His faithfulness, His redemption of them from Egypt, and His provision point consistently to the steadfast love of the LORD toward His people.
